A Retreat for
Breast Cancer Survivors

Northern California • Fall 2027

A weekend to rest, nourish, and honor yourself.

The Empress Retreat is an annual gathering for breast cancer survivors to step away from the demands of everyday life and into a weekend created entirely for them: to rest deeply, connect with women who understand, and make space for the healing and transformation that continue long after treatment.

Set in Northern California, the weekend is an invitation to slow down. To calm your nervous system. To reconnect with your body and yourself. To share, laugh, move, eat well, and simply be.

At the heart of the weekend is joy. Through nourishing food, restorative movement, time in nature, rest, and meaningful connection, we’ll create space to reflect on what joy looks like after treatment. We’ll acknowledge changed perspectives, social triggers, fears of recurrence, and the anxieties that can linger, while exploring how to navigate it all and practice joy and gratitude more intentionally in our everyday lives.

Because healing doesn’t end when treatment does.

We’ll gather again for a thoughtfully guided experience centered around reflection, connection, and meaningful conversation, followed be a relaxed dinner together.

The Hostess

Hi! I’m Christine. At 40, after my very first mammogram, I was diagnosed with Stage 2 breast cancer.

After finishing chemotherapy, I found myself in a place I wasn’t prepared for. I thought I would feel relieved and ready to celebrate, but instead I felt isolated, depressed, and unsure of how to move forward. The people around me were ready to celebrate being “done,” but I didn’t quite feel done.

I kept thinking about what I needed in that moment. I wanted a weekend away, but not just a girls’ weekend with my best friends. I wanted to honor what I had been through with women who could truly relate, without having to explain any of it.

I wanted to rest. To be in nature. To eat nourishing food, move my body, have honest conversations, laugh, connect, and start making space for joy again.

I realized the weekend I was looking for didn’t exist, at least not in the way I imagined it.

So I decided to create it.

The Empress Retreat is the weekend I wish I’d had, and I hope it can be that weekend for you, too.

xoxo,
Christine
